Old Testament 1
Genesis 27

[27:32 And his father Isaac said to him, Who are you? So he said, I am your son, your firstborn, Esau]

In this scripture, Jacob deceived Isaac to receive blessings meant for Esau.

Remember yesterday's exposition?

Esau had sold his birthright to Jacob. This blessing was meant for the first born, so in a way, Esau wasn't the right person to receive the blessing.

When Esau sold his birthright, he must have thought of what importance is birthright.

This is the same way a lot of people have sold or given out their precious possessions because they didn't know the consequence of what they did.

Furthermore,

When we gave our life to Christ. We became born again (John 1:10-13)

We were born newly. Our new birth comes with certain rights like authority over demons, power over sin, healing the sick, prospering, excelling and other promises God made for us.

But some have lost this right due to carelessness.

The good news is you can repent and cry to God today to restore you!

Old Testament 2
Job 34 & 35

[35:2 Do you think this is right? Do you say, my righteousness is more than God's?]

Of Course Job didn't say his righteousness is more than God's. Job just said he's righteous. But people hate it when you know and you are righteous and vocal about it. They can't comprehend how you can do the impossible.

They want to limit you with their own belief and weakness.

New Testament
Matthew 14:14-36

[14:14 And when Jesus went out He saw a great multitude; and He was moved with compassion for them, and healed their sick.]

Jesus had compassion. To show He was human.

As ministers of God and leaders. We need to be compassionate.

[14:30 But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, Lord, save me

14:31 And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, O you of little faith, why did you doubt?]

Jesus walked on the sea and Peter wanted to do the same. Jesus told him to come and He started working on the sea but when he took his eye of Jesus and focused on the storm, he started sinking.

We learn here that no matter the storm no matter the challenges, we shouldn't take our eyes off Jesus. Focus on Jesus. He is the solution. Have faith in Him. Don't let the challenges of this world distract you or make you doubt.

When Peter saw that he was sinking, he cried out unto Jesus.

Maybe you are in a sinking situation right now, maybe you are doubting, cry unto Jesus. He is ever ready to save you.
