TODAY'S BIBLE READING

OLD TESTAMENT I

Numbers 11:4-35

It takes patience to walk with God, the children of Israel walked with God, but they do not have patience, they were stiff necked people.

What we should learn from this bible passage is that, the Lord can supply all our needs according to the riches in His glory.

God promised to feed the people meat as they had requested.
11:21 And Moses said, The people whom I am among are six hundred thousand men on foot; yet You have said, I will give them meat, that they may eat for a whole month.

11:22 Shall flocks and herds be slaughtered for them, to provide enough for them? Or shall all the fish of the sea be gathered together for them, to provide enough for them?

11:23 And the LORD said to Moses, Has the LORD's arm been shortened? Now you shall see whether what I say will happen to you or not.

And so the Lord did, but at the end they didn't enjoy eating the meat.

11:33 But while the meat was still between their teeth, before it was chewed, the wrath of the LORD was aroused against the people, and the LORD struck the people with a very great plague.

11:34 So he called the name of that place Kibroth Hattaavah, because there they buried the people who had yielded to craving.

OLD TESTMENT II
Proverbs 9

This Bible passage discussed about wisdom,

9:10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

9:12 If you are wise, you are wise for yourself, And if you scoff, you will bear it alone.

A child of God need to be wise and know when to say no to the devil.

2 Corinthians 2:11 lest Satan should get an advantage over us. For we are not ignorant of his devices.

The wise becomes wiser, Choose God and become wiser.

NEW TESTAMENT
1 Peter 3:8-22

3:8 Finally, all of you be of one mind, having compassion for one another; love as brothers, be tenderhearted, be courteous;

Jesus Christ has taught us forgiveness.

Matthew 6:12 And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive them that trespass against us.

3:9 not returning evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary blessing, knowing that you were called to this, that you may inherit a blessing.

3:12 For the eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, And His ears are open to their prayers; But the face of the LORD is against those who do evil

People will trespass us, but we need to forgive.

3:18 For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit,

It is good to forgive.

3:12 For the eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, And His ears are open to their prayers; But the face of the LORD is against those who do evil.

When we forgive, it is a good thing to do and we seek peace for one another.

3:11 Let him turn away from evil and do good; Let him seek peace and pursue it.
