Old Testament 1
Genesis 40

[40:8 And they said to him, We each have had a dream, and there is no interpreter of it So Joseph said to them, Do not interpretations belong to God? Tell them to me, please ]

Interpretation belongs to God, whatever you are confused about, whatever you need clarification on, talk to God, He is full of wisdom (Proverb 2:6).

[40:14 But remember me when it is well with you, and please show kindness to me; make mention of me to Pharaoh, and get me out of this house.

40:23 Yet the chief butler did not remember Joseph, but forgot him]

Putting your trust in man will fail you. Joseph told the chief Butler to remember him when it is well with him. But he forgot Joseph.

It's only God that cannot forget us. That's why we need to put our trust in Him. Though sometimes it might seem God has forgotten you. But that's not true. His promises never fail. Be patient and keep the faith.

Old Testament 2
psalms 18:1-29

This passage is about the powerful hand of God and how Great God is.

Also, we need to be upright before God and pure.

we need to be merciful in our dealings with people so that God will be merciful to us. Whatever we sow we will reap.

New Testament
Matthew 23

Then spake Jesus to the multitude, and to his disciples, {23:2} Saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat: {23:3} All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, [that] observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not

This is to tell us we need to respect leaders in positions. Do whatever they say that aligns with the word of God. Just because a pastor’s life doesn’t conform with God’s word doesn't mean He is wrong when he says thou shall not kill.

This is why we need discerning Spirit, and the way to discern is by spending more time with God personally.

These people could learn the truth from Jesus because they spent time with Him, we read in scripture they go as far as following him into the wilderness.

{23:11} But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.

{23:12} And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be

exalted.

In one of our expositions, we have talked extensively about service. The true meaning of leadership is to serve. We should emulate Jesus as our example. He was humble and served till the very end.

{23:28} Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity. And say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.

{23:31} Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets.

{23:33} [Ye] serpents, [ye] generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?

Jesus condemned the Pharisees because they are hypocrites.

When you read how the Isrealites saw all the miracles God performed and just in the next chapter you will read “and the children of Israel did terrible in the sight of God”, and you wonder how could they still commit sin when they have literally seen God miracles.

This is the same thing the Pharisee says but God (Jesus) was with them and they didn’t believe Him.

Aren’t we doing the same today also? Some have been called, they believe in God, God has shown himself in their lives, they have seen proof but still sin.

If you are in this category you need to repent before it is too late to escape the damnation of hell.

And if you are yet to surrender your life to Christ, now is the time to do that!
