TODAY'S BIBLE READING

OLD TESTAMENT I
Numbers 15

In this bible passage God gave the Israelites some instructions to follow, and the one that failed to follow the instructions were put to death.

15:32 Now while the children of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man gathering sticks on the Sabbath day.

15:33 And those who found him gathering sticks brought him to Moses and Aaron, and to all the congregation.

15:34 They put him under guard, because it had not been explained what should be done to him.

15:35 Then the LORD said to Moses, The man must surely be put to death; all the congregation shall stone him with stones outside the camp

15:36 So, as the LORD commanded Moses, all the congregation brought him outside the camp and stoned him with stones, and he died.

To obey is better than sacrifice. (1 SAMUEL 15:22)

OLD TESTAMENT II
Proverbs 12

12:1 Whoever loves instruction loves knowledge, But he who hates correction is stupid.

12:2 A good man obtains favor from the LORD, But a man of wicked intentions He will condemn.

12:26 The righteous should choose his friends carefully, For the way of the wicked leads them astray.

12:28 In the way of righteousness is life, And in its pathway there is no death.

May God help us to choose wisdom instead of foolishness - Amen.

NEW TESTAMENT
2 Peter 1

1:2 Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord,

1:5 But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge,

1:6 to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness,

1:7 to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love.

1:8 For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

His grace is sufficient for us. (2 Corinthians 12:9)
